Thursday August 27th, the East Meck Eagles invited the Concord Spiders onto the field for an intense game of soccer. East Meck’s men soccer team had a great start holding off the Spiders 2-1 in the first half. Sophomore Juan Jimenez took the honor of first goal, followed up by another goal from senior Riffin Kanjangu. The second half got close when the spiders tied it up, but the Eagles remained determined. Jimenez came back to score the last goal of the game, which was the result of a deflection off of a Concord player. This win makes East Meck’s overall record 2-3. With only the fifth game of the season under their wings, the Eagles are off to a promising start.
