Men’s basketball shoots to the top

East Meck men’s basketball team managed to beat the Myers Park Mustangs on Tuesday, winning 61-50.
The Mustangs, who were placed second in the conference, gave the Eagles a run for their money. By the third quarter, they were gaining on the men’s early lead. East Meck secured the win with free throws by Jalen White and Jeremy Ingram.
White and Ingram shone throughout the game, scoring 21 and 18, respectively.
The game put the Eagles’ record at 11-9. They are now very much ahead of the other teams in the Southwestern 4A conference.
