Q. How long have you played basketball?

A. Five years – since I was nine years old.

Q. Do you play any other sports?

A. No. I wanted to play softball this year, but my parents are still debating it. They don’t want it to interfere with basketball.

Q. Do you have any siblings?

A. I have a sister. Her name is Jayonla and she is ten.

Q. What middle school did you come from?

A. Albemarle Road Middle School. I played basketball there, too.

Q. Why did you start playing basketball?

A. It’s fun. Really it’s been in my family for a while. My dad and step dad played. I don’t really know why I started; I used to be lazy, always laying around and eating.

Q. What position do you play?

A. Right now, I play small forward, but we change it up a lot.

Q. What is your most embarrassing moment at East Meck?

A. Luckily, I haven’t had one yet, but it’ll probably happen now.

Q. What’s your biggest pet peeve?

A. When guys sag their pants.

Q. What is the most challenging thing you’ve faced in high school so far?

A. Keeping my grades up while playing. High school basketball is much more time consuming that middle school basketball was.

Q. What hobbies do you have besides basketball?

A. I like to swim. I was going to do swim team, but it would have interfered with basketball.

Q. What is the best family vacation you’ve been on?

A. Disney World. We went when I was ten, and visited Universal Studios. The rides were awesome!

Q. Coke or Pepsi?

A. Coke.

Q. Are you a morning bird or night owl?

A. Night owl. I hate getting up for school in the mornings.

Q. What is your favorite food?

A. Hold on, let me think—there are a lot. I love my mom’s stuffed shells. It’s pasta stuffed with meat and cheese with marinara sauce.

Q. What is your favorite subject in school?

A. I don’t really like anything. But biology I guess, since it is the easiest.

Q. What is your least favorite subject?

A. English.

Q. What is your favorite thing about the East Meck basketball games?

A. Before the games, when the team is hanging out, we be acting a fool. We listen to music, like Gucci Mane, and just act crazy in the locker room.

Q. What is your favorite Disney channel program?

A. That’s So Raven.

Q. What’s your favorite color?

A. Purple.
