‘La Vie Bohem’ takes over East Meck prom

Brandon Anderson and Stephanie Walton share a moment together just after being crowned Prom King and Queen on May 8.

The prom took place in the Panther’s Den at the Bank of America Stadium, which was lavishly decorated with taupe awnings, white orchids, and colorful lanterns under the theme of bohemia.

The night was topped by the dancing of English teacher, Jennifer Lamay, as well as many teachers, proving that educators can whoop it up too.

Students jived to the “Cupid Shuffle” and hits by Drake. There was food served, though few dared to try it; the sparkling punch was a much more popular selection.

Everyone was starving after a long night of dancing, so many students went to 24 hour breakfast joints, such as IHOP or Waffle House.

The celebratory behavior continued into the wee hours of the morning. Surely students won’t have this much fun again until next year’s prom. Good luck future Junior Board, this one’s hard to top! – L.C.
