During spring break, four Habitat for Humanity members traveled with math teacher Kevin Strawn to build a Habitat house in Getsemaní, El Salvador. The students, Maddie Pofahl, Rachel Gaylord-Miles, Kathryn Kinser and Nathan Redding, spent hours in the sun building the house from the ground up.
In addition to humanitarian work, the students also had the opportunity to try new things, such as kayaking and El Salvadorian cuisine.
Through all the fun and hard labor, these Eagles surely brought some great memories of their trip abroad.
“The kids we bonded with when we were there were awesome,” Kinser said.
